Zoey Metzner’s Portfolio

Meet Zoey

Zoey is a 24-year-old video and content creator. She has been involved with many aspects of art & creation since she was a teenager.

She recently finished school at Quinnipiac University, studying for her Master’s in Cinematic Production Management after previously graduating with her Bachelor’s in the Spring of 2022, majoring in Film, Television, and Media. She has excelled in her academics, managing a 3.9 GPA.

In her senior year of her undergrad program, she was the editor for her capstone senior film. Zoey and 6 other students worked together to complete a high-quality short film called "Waiting for Beckett". The film received various awards and is now available to view after its festival run.

While attending Quinnipiac University, Metzner started the organization "Quinnipiac Women in Film". The group met weekly to discuss advances in female filmmaking, educate about the history of women in film, and make videos about the important women in film.

In her personal life, Zoey has worked on many projects, including short films “El Jardin”, “Cora in Reflection”, and “Yummo Spot”. She also has 3 years of experience in podcast production, originally creating a podcast for the bridal company she worked for, and then creating one revolving around the music and culture of the rock band Greta Van Fleet where she was able to cultivate a dedicated follower base.

Currently, Zoey works at RJ Julia Booksellers as their Social Media Specialist. Originally she was hired to work only at their Middletown location, but was promoted to become the Social Media Manager for both the Middletown and Madison Connecticut locations. On a daily basis she is checking for trends, creating content, analyzing data, and writing copy for posts.
